Another picture from my wedding, or, rather, when I was getting ready for it. I really just wanted to show of my dog, because he’s a cutie. (Since then, all his brown spots have turned almost white! I guess 6 is getting towards old age. I didn’t even notice ‘til I looked at this picture again.)
A little late, but happy 5-year anniversary to my beautiful husband who puts up with all my shit. Thanks for having so much fun with me! <3

I don’t think anyone cares, but these are my three favorite parts of that pic I just posted, so I wanted to show ‘em off. (Even though, rationally, they’re not all that great or anything. I just like them.)
1. Gems. Awesome fun shiny things. I resolve to draw them more often.
2. I probably died, because R has snagged my old purple backpack, complete with pins which PLEASE SOMEBODY RECOGNIZE.
3. R’s face. It’s meh-okay in general, but I liked the nice gross veins and the red in his eyes which you probably can’t even see. I had the hardest time deciding what color his eyes should be, because they’re sort of pretty blue in the movie, but described as grey in the book, I think? But also they almost seem to glow? Aaaand at the end they apparently turn yellow or something? So I kind of threw it all in there. They’re very confused eyes, but it’s okay.
Now I’m going to bed before I don’t stop talking.
Note: All the kudos to whoever recognizes those damn pins.
If I could only find a note to make you understand; thought love was dead but now you’re changing my mind~
I started this friggin’ thing the day after I saw the movie, worked on it longer than I’ve ever considered spending on a single pic… and then completely forgot about it for the last few weeks. XD; I’m at the point where I’m just so DONE, and yet I’m still absolutely falling all over myself proud because it’s the most detailed thing I’ve ever done.
Also, it was gonna have lyrics, but after an hour or so of tinkering, I said to hell with it. =]
R, Julie, and the Warm Bodies movie/book (c) Isaac Marion, and you should read it if you haven’t, ‘cuz it’s freaking precious.
(Here on dA for larger size and more rambling.)

How did this little shit end up being the straightest one of the group? I literally created him to be a stereotype. Characters these days.
Facebook, I’ve never loved you more. I mean, that’s not saying much because I normally think you’re a piece of shit, but still. Thank you. Thank you for recognizing my art as people. I’m. I just. You’ve redeemed yourself. Slightly.
Mmm yes, here, have some practice drawings of the Luteces. Hadn’t drawn anything for a bit, figured I’d give these two a shot. =] Wasn’t exactly the Lutecest fanfic I’d planned on, but hey, it’s something, and about as much as I can expect of myself on a weekend.
Some practices sketches of the various background fishmen from episode 563 of One Piece. I love all the different designs, even for characters you never see for more than 10 seconds. They’re even more fun colored, so maybe I’ll line and color them later. =]
Doodling some different versions of my characters. Spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out what the opposite-gender names should be. I gave Hunter and Isabelle very single-gender names for a reason though, so I can’t be too annoyed. Kinda laughing at “Sable“‘s loincloth, but logically it’d be the only thing he’d wear, so, hey.
As for their mythical versions, I dunno. I didn’t use refs, I just drew them like I felt. =] For example, Addy’s not really a werewolf, since she doesn’t transform, just a wolf-person. Mm, should have a tail, but I forgot it. Oh well.
Gonna go write some shippy AUs now.
So I’ve been tinkering with my characters lately, and I’ve started just writing a bunch of notes about them and, *shrug*, I’m posting them here because, why not.
In today’s notes: DCo’s dispositions, ways of handling regret, sexualities and possible relationships, among other bits.
(tl;dr all my characters are bisexual because, hey, they’re mine after all. Addy prefers women, Izzy likes androgynous folks, Ellery prefers women, and Hunter prefers men.)
Ok, well. I guess. Here’s this thing I’ve been working on. Since, like, early February. Oh god. I just. It’s. It’s… it’s not done. It’s not even done, and it’s already the most complicated thing I’ve ever bothered with but when I compare it to other people, well, you know, it’s nothing! and I know, I know, you can’t compare yourself to others… It’s just… How can I be so simultaneously ridiculously proud, and yet blase about something? Ahhh anyway.
These are just the little pictures, these full-view’d are still only 25% of the real size. That’s an improvement, at least, that I’ve been working on rather massive canvases. Mmmmm I still have a lot of little bits to add (more textures and clutter, mostly, oh, and the music-things), and I’ll probably even find a bunch of other junk to do with it too, since that’s how this has been going; it’s been a learning thing. Gosh, I’ve had a ton of fun.
Er, by the way, this is supposed to be R and Julie, from Warm Bodies. More the book than the movie (though yeah, I did use their movie designs), because of a passage where he skips around on a record to talk to her (sort of Bumblebee-ish, from Transformers, I thought).
Ahh….. ^^; *explodes quietly into a million stars*
I guess… let me know if you have any advice though. I’m happy to learn more~~
Just a quick sketch of Addisson and Ellery that I did on the way to work. Heard a song on the radio that sounded a bit like them, if they were in a dysfunctional romantic relationship, and it made my heart sort of pitter-patter, you know? (I love my OCs, okay.) Maybe I’ll play with it more later.
Ahhh I just want to draw R and Julie a whole bunch but I can’t even seem to finish up the picture I already have going with them. And, man, whenever I finally do, it’s totally gonna be one of those ones where I love it to death and know how many billions of hours I put into it but nobody else pays any attention to it aahhhhahahaha
Art. I guess that’s just how it is.
OC sketches. Have another. I’ve actually been tinkering with this for ages, just as a little side dealio when I was too bushed from work or other projects to do something bigger.
Anyway, this was sort of an exercise in drawing my characters consistently and getting their body types down, and I think it helped. =]
So last week, I know, but here, have some DCo square-faces.
